Navratri has arrived. These days many people are
fasting. But do you know that the 9-day Navratri fast of Maa Durga is accomplished with
great restraint and discipline. Therefore, if you want to please the Mother
Goddess during Navratri, then avoid these activities.
Do not forget these big mistakes even during Navratri otherwise Mata Rani
gets angry.
1. It is prohibited to sleep in the day during
Navratri festival.
2. Do not use scissors for nine days, nails and
hair should not be cut in Navratri.
3. People who have fast should not use leather
items like belts, slippers, shoes, bags.
4. Those who keep fast for nine days should not eat
onion, garlic and non-veg, it is called evil tempered (tamsik) food.
5. One should not wear dirty and filthy clothes in
Navratri.
6. Those who keep Navratri should not get beard-moustache
and hair cut.
7. Those keeping the fast should not cut lemon for
nine days.
8. Food and salt should not be consumed during
fasting for nine days.
9. If unbroken lights are being lit in Navratri,
then these days do not leave the house empty and keep the aarti and incense
burning both times.
10. Consume the fruit sitting at the same place and
do not eat frequently.
11. Do not make the mistake of speaking or getting
up in the middle of Saptashati or Durga Chalisa. This leads to negative powers.
12. Don’t make a physical relation during Navratri
fast.
13. Many people chew tobacco for the satisfaction
of the mind, but do not make this mistake during fast. Fast is troubled by
addiction.
14. During Navaratri, in the morning, meditate
after bathing and recite pooja, worshiping after noon is not considered
appropriate.
15. complaint, lie, greed should not come in the
mind and all the time your time should be involved in the prayer of mother Goddess
Durga.
